We're passionate about using GeoAI to make smarter, data driven decisions for Earth

How it all started

Our co-founder, Dr Karen Joyce has been working on the Great Barrier Reef since the late 1990’s, trying to understand one question – how much live coral do we have on the Great Barrier Reef. With the reef being across thousands of km, and being made up of over 3,000 individual reefs, this was not an easy question to answer.

Using remote sensing data – firstly satellites, and then drones after a sabbatical at NASA Ames in 2013 – Karen came up against a continual problem – how do I analyse all this data at scale?

With drones making it easier than ever to collect Earth observation data, folders soon filled with data that was never going to be analysed in cumbersome and traditional GIS software, let alone be share easily with others.

This is where GeoNadir has come from – making it simple to process, analyse, share, and collaborate on Earth observation data, without the need for a GIS background. Whilst still providing science grade insights that are ready for teams to make decisions.

Meet the people with a vision

Founded in Australia with a global team serving our users all around the world. We are passionate about the industry we're in, but also committed to increasing diversity in geospatial careers as we build our team.

Our theory of change

We believe that geospatial insights are vital for solving Earth’s biggest challenges. Think climate change, food security, biodiversity protection and restoration, and building sustainable cities.

We are building tools that combine the precision of drones, the scale of satellites, and the intelligence of AI to revolutionise environmental and ecosystem analysis. Our platform will use drones to provide ground-truthing data, satellites for global coverage, and a natural-language AI interface to make it all accessible.

Our solution delivers real-time insights, reduces errors, and saves millions in resource mismanagement, whilst democratising Earth intelligence for better, smarter decisions everywhere.
